Hey Daniel!,
it is not neccessary to remove the engine from the bike, order the cam chain....about 95 u.s dollars, and the two gaskets for each side panel, when you get these, let me know and I can send a little description how to do it, You are on track man!, I would not trust those cam chains ever, they Suck on the savage, I had to replace mine after it losened so bad it fell off the sprocket.
